About Jokes & Smokes Cruises

MINIMUM AGE?

The minimum age for Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise is 21; no exceptions. People who bring children onboard and desire to bring children are strongly encouraged to take their children to Camp Discover Kids & Teen Center Onboard, as children will not be allowed at any of the Jokes & Smokes events.

WHATS INCLUDED?

Your Jokes & Smokes Cruise rate includes:
• Ship Accommodations
• Most meals excluding specialty restaurants, bars and cafes.
• Entrance to ALL Jokes & Smokes Cruise events on and off the ship.
• Gratuities

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED?

Your Jokes & Smokes Cruise rate does not include:
• Government taxes, port fees and administration fees ($300/ pp)
• Airfare
• Ground transportation to/from the PortHotel accommodation
• Spa treatments and certain specialty exercise classes
• Laundry
• Photographs
• Casino
• Ship-to-shore phone, email, Internet, fax
• Shore excursions
• Insurance
• Food and beverages at off-site events.
• Other optional items not limited to the above

WHAT INFORMATION IS REQUIRED TO BOOK MY CRUISE?

The following information is required by the cruise line and needed for every guest in your cabin:


1. Full, legal name (first/last only) as it appears on your passport/birth certificate/driver’s license
2. Birth Date
3. Phone Number
4. Email Address
5. Citizenship
6. Credit Card details for all guests who will have financial responsibility on your reservation
7. Any special dietary or physical needs


We strongly recommend that all passengers travel with a passport (valid for at least six months beyond the completion of travel). Having a valid passport will enable you to fly from the U.S. to a foreign port in the event you miss your scheduled embarkation, or to fly back to the U.S. should you need to disembark the ship mid-cruise for any reason.
For any further clarification on what immigration documents are acceptable or necessary, please contact immigration and/or the cruise line directly.

WHAT AMOUNTS ARE DUE AT THE TIME OF BOOKING?

A non-refundable deposit (based on the number of Passengers in your stateroom) is due at the time of booking for each guest as follows: $350 per person, no matter the stateroom chosen.

WHAT TYPES OF CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ARE ACCEPTED?

We accept most major credit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover.

MULTIPLE CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

If you will be paying for your stateroom with multiple credit cards, you will need to have all of the credit card numbers (with expiration date and the card’s verification code/number) as well as the billing name and billing addresses for each card. The credit card(s) must belong to the guest(s) booked on the reservation.

ARE PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE?

Flexible payment terms are available though our monthly payment plans (based on the date of booking). You will receive a payment schedule which details the payment plan including the automatic monthly installments and the dates on which payments are due.

A non-refundable deposit (based on the number of Passengers in your stateroom) is due at the time of booking for each guest as follows: $350 per person.Your remaining cabin balance will be split into equal monthly payments which will be debited on either the 30th or the first day of each month after your initial deposit is paid with your final balance due no later than March 1, 2024.

Monthly payments will be automatically charged to your credit card on file on either the 30th or the first day of each month. It is your sole responsibility to know your due dates for payments. Payment reminders will not be sent.

WHEN are ALL PAYMENTS ARE DUE?

The full remaining cabin balance is due from all passengers with prior reservations is March 7, 2024

CABIN UPGRADES / DOWNGRADES?

Passengers may upgrade to higher cabin category at any time, subject to availability. Downgrades are not permitted.

LATE PAYMENTS & DECLINED CREDIT CARD FEES?

A late fee of $35.00 per person will be added to your reservation if your credit card on file is declined or if your payment is not received by your due dates listed on your invoice. If your reservation remains unpaid at any time, JSCC reserves the right to cancel your reservation without refund.

HOW ARE MONTHLY PAYMENTS CALCULATED?

Monthly payments are calculated using the base rate of the cabin type/category you’ve selected, plus the taxes, fees, gratuities and admin fees ($300), minus the deposit paid, divided by the number of months required to finalize your cabin booking. Monthly payment rates will depend on the amount you’ve deposited towards and the timeframe of booking. If you have questions about your monthly rate, please contact our Support Team.

WHEN IS THE LAST DAY TO BOOK A CABIN?

Although there isn’t “really” a “last day” to book cabins for Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise, rates and availability are not guaranteed until booked. We recommend booking early to guarantee the best rates and best cabin locations. Cruise rates increase closer to sailing! The sellout risk of any Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise is extremely high.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

ALL DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS! If you wish to protect your investment, we strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance.
JSCC has teamed up with ITravelInsured to offer travel insurance to our passengers.
Written notice of your cancellation must be sent by e-mail to info@laffinstock.com.


If a flight or other delay for any reason prevents you from joining the cruise by the boarding time on the departure date, you will be considered a no-show, and no refund or credit is applicable towards a future cruise. Please note that your decision not to travel due to State Department advisories or fear of travel will constitute a cancellation by you. No refund or credit will be given for any unused features or early departures for any reason.


No refunds will be given to those who do not board the ship on time, unused tickets, or after Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise has occurred.

WHAT HAPPENS IF SOMEONE IN MY RESERVATION CANCELS?

As a courtesy, JSCC offers guests within the same reservation the ability to split the cost between guests, and additionally offers subsequent monthly payment plans depending on when the reservation was created. If a guest (with payment responsibility within the reservation) cancels, regardless of the reason, that guest will be responsible for covering their entire balance at the time of cancellation. If that guest refuses to pay their outstanding balance, it then falls on the Primary to pay for the entire balance, alternatively, to reach an amicable plan with the remaining members of the cabin to cover the canceled guest’s portion either in full, or split the balance owed into monthly payments for the remaining members of the group.


If you or any of the guests within a reservation can find a replacement for the person canceling, we can honor a name change subject to a $150-$250 name change fee depending on when the request is made. Once the new guest is added, they will take over the payment responsibility from the previous guest and pick up where they left off, however, JSCC will not refund any previously paid portions to any guests regardless of the reason.


As a primary, if you are in a double occupancy room and your cabin mate cancels, they will be asked to pay their remaining balance or find a replacement at which time either party will cover the ‘name change fee’ of US $150 – $250 USD. In the event that this guest refuses to pay off their balance, or find a replacement, the responsibility falls on the primary to find the replacement, pay the US $150 – $250 USD “name change fee,” or pay the double occupancy rate and remain in the room as a single occupant.


Please note that, as per the Terms and Conditions, Primaries cannot cancel out of the stateroom.

 

SHOULD I PURCHASE TRAVEL INSURANCE?

ALL DEPOSITS AND PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. If you wish to protect your investment, we strongly recommend the purchase of Travel Insurance to protect yourself against financial loss due to non-refundable costs and fees due to unexpected cancellations and travel emergencies.
USC has teamed up with ITravel Insured to offer travel protection.
Travel Insurance options will be presented in the booking path after you’ve booked your cabin.

MILITARY DISCOUNT?

Although we thank you for your service in protecting America and its borders, we do not offer a military discount for attendees.

CAN I BOOK A ROOM CLOSE TO MY FRIENDS?

You can choose and select your cabins online. If you and your friends are booking together it should be easy to select and choose cabins near each other. Requests to be located next to your friends should be made at the time of booking. JSCC will use its best endeavors to book your cabin as close to your friends as possible, however, the earlier you book, the easier it is to accommodate these requests. DO I NEED A PASSPORT TO CRUISE?

Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise strongly recommends that all of our guests travel with a passport (valid for at least six months beyond the completion of travel). Having a valid passport will enable you to fly from the U.S. to a foreign port in the event you miss your scheduled embarkation, or to fly back to the U.S. should you need to disembark the ship mid-cruise for any reason.

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) stipulates the following information with regards to “closed-loop” cruises, which are sailings that originate and terminate in the same U.S. Port. Please note that this information could change at any time without notice.

U.S. Citizens (including children) taking “closed-loop” cruises will be able to enter or depart the country with either a valid U.S. Passport – or – Proof of citizenship, such as an original or certified copy of his or her birth certificate (or a ConsuMiamir report of Birth Abroad, or a Certificate of Naturalization), along with government issued photo identification, such as a State issued driver’s license.

Other acceptable forms of identification include:
• U.S. Passport Cards
• Enhanced Driver’s Licenses
• Trusted Traveler Cards (NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST)
• Military Identification Cards (for members of the U.S. armed forces on official orders)
• U.S. Merchant Mariner Document (for U.S. citizens on official maritime business)
• Enhanced Tribal Card (where available)
Please note: Baptismal papers and hospital certificates of birth are not acceptable. Voter registration cards or Social Security cards are not considered proof of citizenship.

U.S. Alien Residents need a valid Alien Resident Card. Non-U.S. citizens need a valid passport and a valid, unexpired U.S. Multiple Re-entry Visa, if applicable.

Non-U.S. Citizens: You will need a valid passport and, in some cases, a visa. If you live in the U.S., you will also need the original copy of your Alien Registration Card (ARC or “Green Card”) and any other documentation the countries on your itinerary require due to your alien status.

If you are not a U.S. Citizen, please contact U.S. Immigration at 1-800-375-5283 to be sure your identification will be satisfactory for both entry into the U.S., and for the cruise. Citizens from the Visa Waiver Program countries will require a machine-readable passport valid for the duration of their voyage.

All guests must present the required documentation at embarkation. Guests without the required documentation will be denied boarding and no refund will be issued. Please understand that RCI will strictly enforce this requirement to be in compliance with this important U.S. Government mandate.

Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise and the other Released Parties (as herein defined) assume no responsibility for advising you of immigration requirements. Non-U.S. citizens, including resident aliens, must contact the appropriate consulates, embassies and/or immigration office(s) to inquire about necessary documentation for the Cruise’s ports of call. Your name, as listed on your travel documents, must exactly match your name as listed on your Cruise documents.

It is YOUR responsibility to make sure you have the proper, valid documents to board the ship. Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise is not responsible for denied boarding due to insufficient documents.

HOW/WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY TICKETS AND BOARDING PASS?

Within 30 days of sailing, you’ll receive an email with your cruise line booking/reservation number and instructions on how to complete your online check-in and print your boarding pass. Each guest in your cabin will need to complete the cruise line’s mandatory online check-in at least one week prior to sailing. Your boarding pass is your “ticket” for boarding and must be printed and presented at check-in at the terminal.

WHY DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE ONLINE CHECK-IN?

1. To make sure the cruise line has your booking information correct, and that your name is spelled exactly as it appears on your legal documentation (legal first and last names only; middle names are not needed). If your name is not spelled correctly, you could be denied boarding without refund! Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise is not responsible if you are denied boarding. Please contact us immediately with any name correction.


2. To print your boarding pass and e-documents. You need to present this upon check-in at the pier. Your Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise Invoice is NOT your ticket for boarding.


3. To expedite check-in. Completion of the required information in advance greatly expedites check-in at the port. The faster you can get through check-in, the sooner your Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise experience can begin!

HOW DO I MEET OTHER JOKES & SMOKES CRUISERS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE?
NEED A ROOMMATE?

We get several requests for roommates. If you need a roommate, please email us at at JOKES & SMOKES CIGAR CRUISE and we will do out best to accommodate you.
*Room Share options are very limited and subject to availability. We will do our best to pair you with someone of similar age, gender and cabin selection, however requests are not guaranteed.
*Your decision to accept a roommate for the Jokes & Smokes Cigar is at your own risk. Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise is not responsible nor liable for any and all claims or causes of action arising out of or in connection with your selection of a roommate for the Cruise, including, without limitation, any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from such request or selection.

The following rules and stipulations must be agreed upon by all parties:

1) Roommate Assignments
a) Roommate match will be made approximately one (1) month before the scheduled final payment due date 1 March 2024. An email will be sent to all roommate match guests providing contact details for their assigned roommates and their final stateroom assignments. In the event of special circumstances with the ship, such as a sell-out, this email may be sent earlier and will designate the revised date of matching and cancellation penalties.

  1. b) Since a match cannot be guaranteed, if Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise is unable to find a roommate match by the final payment due date, the guest irrevocably agrees to take a single cabin with the additional collection of the single occupancy rate with the understanding that if a roommate match can be made prior to sailing, your fare will be adjusted back to the double occupancy rate and a refund will be processed accordingly.

2) Roommate Cancellation & Responsibility
a) If a guest has been matched with a roommate who subsequently cancels the cruise or wishes to withdraw from the roommate match program, the additional charge for the full single occupancy rate for the remaining roommate will be paid by the person that cancelled or withdrew.

  1. b) Efforts will be made to find a replacement roommate; however, this cannot be guaranteed. If a replacement roommate is found, the cancelling party may still be responsible for any penalties or fees assessed such as name change fees, etc.
  2. c) The intent of this policy is to protect the non-cancelling roommate of any supplemental charges.

The Roommate Match Terms and Conditions shall be read with the Jokes & Smokes Cigar Cruise Participant’s Agreement (Terms & Conditions) to which you irrevocably agree to be binding on you (the passenger).
